PROFIT AT EXPIRATION
Estimated position P/L, excluding fees and taxes
Long calls can have theoretically unlimited profit. Long puts have limited profit because a stock cannot trade below $0. Maximum loss is the premium paid. Results assume expiration payoff and exclude commissions, fees, taxes, and early exercise considerations.
Profit / loss at expiration
The line shows how profit or loss changes with the underlying stock price. The highlighted point is your selected expiration price.

UNDERSTAND THE RESULT
How it works.
A long call gains intrinsic value when the stock finishes above the strike price. A long put gains intrinsic value when the stock finishes below the strike price. At expiration, profit or loss equals intrinsic value minus the premium paid, multiplied by the number of contracts and shares per contract.
This calculator estimates expiration outcomes only. It does not estimate an option's market value before expiration, which can depend on time remaining, volatility, and other factors. These are hypothetical calculations, not trading recommendations.
